Carnkie (Wendron) Village Hall has a new website. Its address is It provides lots of infor-mation about the village hall, including all the village events, local clubs, the history of the hall and how to book the hall for your own use. Do have a look and let us know what you think!

The Village Hall is being used every night so come along and join in - you can find details of all the events in the ‘What’s On’ section of this news sheet.


Usually held on the 4th Friday of each month except for Easter & Christmas when it may change to a more appropriate Friday as these are prize bingos & all the rest are cash bingos.
We give free books away to under 16s and a chance for any player to win free books on our lucky book draw for the next bingo.
The cost is £3 for a ten game book.
We run a monthly snowball the cost of snowball ticket is 50p.
We always run a well supported raffle and free refreshments.


At present whist on 1st & 3rd Friday of each month at a cost of £2 per person for 18 games, Cash prizes, Raffle and free refreshments.(average attendance of 20 players)
Euchre held on 2nd Friday of each month at a cost of £2 per person for 8 games, Cash prizes, Raffle and free refreshments. (average attendance of 16 players)
We would love to learn other card games if any one would like to teach us.


This has now taken off in a big way and is very popular. If you would like to see or take part come to one of the evenings. Cost is £1.50.

The Compact Camera Club was founded in October 2010 and has grown in members ever since. The Club meets weekly (except the third Thursday of each month) from 7:30 to 9:00 pm at the hall. The club always welcomes new members who have an interest in photography using a compact (point-n-shoot) bridge, basic SLR or film camera. A typical evening at the club is a review of photos and some technivcal advice learning how to improve and adapt photography skills within a relaxed friendly environment.
